Workshop on nutrients in the Arctic – linking the four Ny-Ålesund flagships together

The nutrient cycle in the Arctic will be the focus when researchers from the four Ny-Ålesund flagships convene to discuss how to increase collaboration across flagships and research disciplines.

To bridge the keynote seminars on the nutrient cycle to the planned three days workshop in Orvieto in spring 2022, we take advantage of the physical meeting place the Svalbard Science Conference to arrange a one-day workshop on the topic of Nutrient cycle in the Arctic.

This workshop will focus on the two topics:

1. Kongsfjorden net ecosystem metabolism (nitrogen budget)
2. Nutrient budget in atmosphere, biosphere and soil continuum: carbon, nitrogen and more
